Course Description

The matrix mechanics, the braket notation and the concept of state vectors are introduced for deep understand the quantum mechanics taught in Quantum Mechanics A. The perturbation theory is taught in detail, which is important for practical applications. The spin angular momentum, one of the quantum object, is introduced. Electron interaction with the electro-magnetic field is discussed. The many-particle state, addition of angular momenta, interaction between angular momenta, approximation methods for many-particle systems are taught. The basic knowledge to treat the real systems is studied.
