講義名 Advanced Physical Chemistry
目的

The purpose of this lecture is to survey recent advanced research areas of physical chemistry in relation with its basic principles. The lecture is divided into three parts:

(1) molecular structure, molecular spectroscopy, and reaction kinetics

(2) surface and interface chemistry, electrochemistry, and surface nanostructuring

(3) photofunctional molecular and semiconductor systems including electroluminescence devices, photocatalysts, and solar cells.

  1. Recent developments in molecular spectroscopy.
  2. Time-resolved laser spectroscopy and its application to chemical reaction dynamics
  3. Molecular fluctuations and their roles in reaction dynamics
  4. Laser chemistry in photo-functional systems
  5. Surface and interface chemistry on an atomic level
  6. Nanostructuring at metal and semiconductor surfaces
  7. Non-linear chemical dynamics and molecular self-organization
  8. Electronic structure of metal and semiconductor surfaces
  9. Photovoltaic effect and solar energy conversion
  10. Conventional and new catalysts.
  11. Organic devices for solar energy conversion and light emission.
